At Gap Adventures, we’re dedicated to changing people’s lives through sustainable, authentic adventure-travel experiences. We are looking for a highly self-motivated achiever to become our new Sales Manager for Eastern Canada.
We are looking for an individual with a proven track record and innovative strategies to drive Gap Adventures growth in Eastern Canada; to represent, promote and sell Gap Adventures product and services and identify and assist in the qualifying and development of new business opportunity leads. We want you to manage preferred relationships with Agents and Agency Management Representatives.
And perhaps most importantly, we are looking for someone who is a passionate traveller willing to embrace the bizarre and who can’t wait to share their next, great adventure story with other Gappers (our army of travel-obsessed employees).
Responsibilities:
- Growth and development of all Eastern Canada business opportunities.
- Assist the Regional Sales Manager and executive management to identify, initiate and manage new business lead relationships.
- Procurement and management of all Eastern Canada Accounts and Preferred Agency Agreements.
- Achieve Sales Revenue, budgetary and Corporate Business KPI’s.
- Represent Gap Adventures to develop and maintain relationships with preferred travel agencies and vendors of Gap Adventures products.
- To represent Gap Adventures at trade shows, consumer events or functions.
- To provide superior levels of customer service and sales support by analyzing, reporting and managing available customer information in order to retain satisfaction levels and to creatively initiate improvement.
Requirements:
- Ability to understand and demonstrate professional sales presentation techniques
- Strategic business planning, analyzing and reporting
- Strong negotiator
- Advanced skills in interpersonal relationship management
- Effective communications skills, both verbal and written in English and French a MUST
- Well-traveled and/or travel industry experience an asset
- Valid Drivers License a must and own vehicle an asset
- Valid Passport
- Vocational Qualification related to Business Management, Customer Service, Sales or Travel & Tourism
- Ability to travel within assigned territory on a regular basis
